Our color formulas are assigned formulation numbers that are coded to
identify it's basic color, and looking at the number sequence will tell
us what color it is supposed to be. That way when you call up to order a
green but give us a white formula sequence number we know there has been
a mistake made somewhere and we'll catch it. It's just another way we
ensure the highest customer satisfaction.
All our pigments are prepackaged in
airtight, factory seale
d,
five pound and one pound cartons. Our color is sealed airtight at the
factory for a reason, and we suggest that you never accept any open
cartons. The quality of open containers can not be guaranteed.
From our beginning in 1985
until 2000 we formulated specifically for Cultured Marble (Solid Surface
wasn't around yet) and all our formulas back then started with an "A"
prefix. In 2000 when we developed our new "ATH" color series, we decided
to stop producing any new "A" series colors since they
were limited to use only in Cultured Marble. In other words, today we no
longer formulate any new "A" series colors. However, rather than just
eliminate the old "A" series, we continue to fill orders
for the hundreds of marble manufacturers who have become comfortable
with it's predictability and performance. Even though our "ATH"
series is better, many shops love our "A" series so much that they
refuse to change, and as long as our customers continue to order our "A" series
we'll continue to make them. We
listen to our customers. They pay the bills.
Color formulas created after January 2000 all have an "ATH" prefix
and are suitable for use in both Cultured Marble and Solid Surface type products.
Our "ATH" line is superior to anything else on the
market and we try to encourage our customers to use this line for everything they cast. This
also eliminates
the problem of having to stock two different "types" of dry color if you are
manufacturing both Cultured Marble and Solid Surface products.
